Raleigh’s own Erika Braun makes every lap count when it comes to swimming. Not only does she make waves with the Raleigh Area Masters swim club, she also continues to compete with swimmers more than half her age with USA-Swimming. Erika joined Golden Corral Corporation in 2000 and serves as the Director of Human Resources where she is responsible for directing system-wide staffing initiatives, compensation and recognition programs, performance management, communications and policies and procedures. Her primary focus is attracting, rewarding and retaining the best talent in the foodservice industry for Golden Corral.
Erika Braun is a current multiple FINA Masters Swimming world record holder and two-Olympic Trials qualifier from Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition to her maintaining a busy career as Director of Human Resources with Golden Corral Corporation, she makes a splash in the swimming world. At age 45, Erika swims competitively in both U.S. Masters and USA-Swimming. In 1988, at the age of 16, Erika qualified for the U.S. Swimming Olympic Trials in the 50-meter freestyle. Twenty-four years later, she accomplished that same feat, joining the ranks of American swimming legends Dara Torres and Janet Evans.
